Powerland Museum
This is an illustration that I made for the Antique Powerland Museum Steam Off event. I studied one of their tractors and from low-down, at a certain angle, it seemed to fall into the perfect stance. I used rough textures to display the grittiness of it's past and while the body of the tractor was technically black, I felt blue was more appropriate because the highlights always gave off a blue-gray color. That blue matched with the red wheels gave me the idea to create a split-complimentary color theme. I feel this worked well with the gritty hard-labor theme, which I always associate with a hot summer day on a farm.
